Safe to travel egypt

All flights between Egypt and the State of Qatar have been suspended until further notice. Once upon a time, the triangular Sinai Peninsula in Egypt was a popular tourist destination for people from all over the Middle East and even Russia. They would come from Israel and Moscow to scuba dive, drink beer, smoke wee and party on the beach.

Egypt is quite a risky country, however, there are areas there are safe and there are, of course, places that aren’t safe. Egypt is a transcontinental country located in North Africa extending into Asia due to it holding the Sinai Peninsula. Egypt shares its borders with Israel and the Gaza Strip to the north-east, Sudan to the south and Libya to the west.

Avoid all travel to the area within kilometres of the border with Libya, the Siwa Oasis, the Western Desert, including the oases of Bahariya, Bawati, Dakhla and Farafra, and the White and Black deserts, due to smuggling, terrorist activities, the presence of armed groups and ongoing military operations.
